Immersed in Italian Culture & World-Class Coursework
Our full-time and part-time MBA programs begin on our Paderno del Grappa campus where you’ll be immersed in coursework and seminars. Course topics include economics, human resources, new venture development, global marketing, production and operations, and leadership and personal development. Our graduating MBA students travel to the University of Iowa for the final month to complete a real-world business simulation course, get an inside look at American companies, and receive their degree at a University of Iowa Tippie College of Business graduation ceremony.
A Culture of Leadership
Our Leadership Institute is designed to support CIMBA’s educational philosophy, which includes the pillars of knowledge, process, and behavior. This philosophy helps you develop skills to turn ideas into practical innovations and to effectively manage and lead others to higher levels of performance. It also gives you access to one of the most comprehensive, highly personalized coaching programs in the U.S. and abroad. Students have one-on-one sessions with coaches who help them explore issues, such as managing daily stress and conflict, developing better social skills, adapting to social transitions, and more. Our MBA students also have the opportunity to learn basic coaching skills such as giving and receiving feedback, asking powerful questions, active listening, listening for potential in others, and being a facilitator.
LIFE TrainingFull-Time MBA Curriculum
The CIMBA full-time MBA curriculum focuses on the practice of business management and includes a foundation of core courses in key functional areas of business. This international MBA program not only prepares you with technical business skills but also includes leadership development seminars, team-building activities, and one-on-one coaching. You will also have extensive interaction with CIMBA’s unique leadership technology system.
You will complete a consulting project, which allows you to apply what you are learning in your courses and the leadership development program to a real issue. You can choose to either be placed in a team to work on real-world issues with an Italian company or create a self-development project.
Half of your courses will be taken with the part-time MBA students on the weekends. During the week, you will complete the other courses and engage in the leadership development program. Most of the courses meet for four full days and require both pre- and post-work.
The final course of the program is an integrative strategy course and is completed during a four-week session at the University of Iowa. This course uses an online business simulation in which you compete in teams to become the highest-performing company. In total, you will complete 20 required courses (58 credit hours). The coursework includes the following classes and is part of the knowledge pillar of the educational philosophy.

Apply todayConsulting Project
Our full-time MBA students are placed in consulting teams at the end of the first semester, after completing the core MBA curriculum. Each team is composed of three to five students who come to the project with two to seven years of work/consulting experience and a mix of international experience and multidisciplinary backgrounds.
Our MBA consulting teams have made a difference for dozens of corporations, including Electrolux, Generali, Westinghouse and Dormakaba group, and have worked with privately held firms, non-profits, government agencies and entrepreneurs. These teams, under the direct supervision of our professors, leadership development coaches and professional consultants, have completed more than 50 projects worldwide.
Depending on the scope of the project, the teams typically work for about six months (December to May) — approximately 1,000 to 1,500 hours total. Previous projects have addressed market research and analysis, timeliness, efficiency, quality, and cycle time issues, providing clients with significant business process improvements and decision analysis that brought an average annual savings of €25,000 (more than $35,000).
Each student who completes the consulting project is awarded the Consulting Project Scholarship of $5,000.

MBA Stories“I do not know exactly where in the world I will end up after I graduate with my MBA in Iowa City. However, after reflecting upon my time here, I know that I can have the reassurance that I made the right choice by choosing CIMBA. Both the undergraduate and MBA programs are admittedly intense and fast-paced. However, it is through these times of pressure that I have personally seen the most growth results in my life. I truly believe that CIMBA may have a method to their madness because their unconventional teaching methods have helped me grow as a business professional, student, and a person.”
